Reflections of my four years at the 'Leeg

It’s getting close to deadline for us at the Collegian to get our pages in to the printer. It’s a spot I’ve unfortunately been in many times. This time, however, I’m still at loss about what to write for this senior send off. I’ve had at least two people say to me, “What, it’s been four years and you have NOTHING to say?”

Graduation should be a look forward, not behind

Let me start out by saying, I think senior send offs are kind of pointless. Here’s why.

Sometimes no answer is the right answer

Words fail me on this occasion. I don’t know what I might write that would be appropriate. I have plenty of feelings about leaving La Salle and the Collegian, though none of them are especially profound. I don’t have sage words of advice for underclassmen or fellow graduates. I don’t have memories that I feel the need to share with an audience. For the most part I feel inadequate. Presented with the choice between writing something mediocre and something insincere, I will opt for mediocrity.
