With new leadership in the La Salle athletic department, Project Teamwork is making gains in 2009 that have not been seen before.

Hip hop listeners encouraged to keep it real

A crowd of approximately 20 people gathered in the Union Building’s Dunleavy Room Oct. 8 for a presentation entitled “Hip Hop, Education, and Social Change: Are You Really Keeping it Real?”

Health Care Reform bill passed

In a vote that was crucial for the current administration’s efforts toward health care reform, the Senate Finance Committee passed their $829 billion bill with a 14-9 majority. With that bill, along with a bill from the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committee on the Senate floor, Health Care Reform has reached its furthest point in decades. Now negotiations are underway to compromise not only the two Senate bills, but also legislation that comes out of the House of Representatives.
