Obama as symbol
President Barack Obama is in an awkward situation. He will need to give a stellar address when he accepts the Nobel Prize for Peace in Oslo.

Apathy at La Salle
This year has been an interesting one for La Salle students. Issues arose from the start with residents from the neighborhood surrounding La Salle protesting off-campus residents during move-in. While the protesters were assured by La Salle’s administration that any disturbances would be dealt with swiftly and strictly their concerns were not abated and many attended the Oct. 6 meeting hosted by Councilwoman Donna Reed Miller (D-8th district) to voice their continued concerns and complaints.

President's work deserves honor
Many people were surprised at the recent announcement and almost every media outlet has weighed in on the decision—some reactions have been positive, some negative. There are many Obama supporters who believe that his young administration has done a more-than-adequate job with foreign relations in the past nine months.
