The approaching of Halloween and dip in the temperatures always brings out the scary sites and events in the city of Philadelphia. From haunted hayrides to tours of haunted buildings, there is something to scare the pants off of anyone looking for a good haunt in the city.

Anyone who has ever watched The Nightmare Before Christmas has always wished there was a Halloweentown, or maybe a Christmastown if they don’t have their priorities straight. But, if you’ve ever spent time before bed hoping you’d wake up in far-away Halloweentown, then you’ve wasted your time. If there is a Halloweentown, it is right here in the Philadelphia area. I grew up in New Jersey, and though that can be extremely scary at times, there is nothing that compares to this part of Pennsylvania in late October.
